Kapral Wojtek, pronounced Corporal Voy-tek, was one of the most prolific bears in all of history, as well as a war hero. It seemed fitting to honor him with this ferocious fuzz design that is as good on bass as it is guitar. Based around the topology of the Jordan Boss Tone, one of the oldest known effects, Wojtek makes huge strides in sound quality and versatility. In addition to the standard Volume and Gain controls, Fur adds incredible texture and tonal options. At low Fur values, the gain range is organic and pleasant until the very end of the Gain control, where it is wide open. As Fur is turned up, the texture starts to shift into a more distorted, fuzzier, and eventually "broken" texture. This wide range of tones makes it super versatile as a fuzz. When upgraded from Private to Corporal, two switches were added to increase the range and animalistic qualities of the fuzz. Thick adds a pleasant low end bump before the clipping to either fatten up single coils or make a bass truly rumble. Growl changes the clipping to add a subtle amount of low end and make the drive fuzzier. The greatest bear in history deserves his own pedal and it deserves to be on your board.
